With the current warning regarding internet explorer, is your "google" search engine safe? If not, what would be the safest search engine?
Same as above. I'm concerned about using internet explorer at this time. I would appreciate your response.
Chosen solution
Firefox is a browser, not a search engine. Internet Explorer is also a browser, not a search engine. Google is a search engine (although they make a browser called Chrome). Firefox is safer than Internet Explorer, and you should consider switching to it full time. But Google is just a search engine used by Firefox to help you use the internet better, and has nothing to do with the security of Firefox in general.

What is the warning you are reading about ?
This is probably not really a Firefox support question if it relates to Search engines.
The Google Search used is an HTTPS version and so that helps with security. Firefox itself has some security features built in. You may find these articles of interest.
Do you mean this issue with IE?

This issue only effects IE and not other browsers like Firefox.
I think you are unlikely to be attacked from Google's own site. But the sites you visit from your search results may be less carefully guarded.
The flaw in Internet Explorer uses Flash, so if you find that you want to keep using IE, you probably can disable Flash in IE using the Manage Add-ons dialog. (I'm not sure where it is in the menu.)

Thank you for explaining this to me. I guess I was thinking Google and Internet Explorer were the same. Finally, someone understood what I was asking.
I thought for sure Mozilla would be aware of the problems with IE.
I sometimes forget to explain because I think something is obvious. Here's a few links for the newer users of Firefox and other browsers explaining the terms
Update
XP gets the security fix after EOL
Even though Windows XP is no longer supported by Microsoft and is past the time we normally provide security updates, we’ve decided to provide an update for all versions of Windows XP (including embedded), today. We made this exception based on the proximity to the end of support for Windows XP.
