On-line instructions say there should be a "Remove" control, but I do not see it.

As "Extensions" are written by the likes of Best Buy and Norton, I wonder why they don't have remove buttons. Extensions are also installed in the registry in Windows and Thunderbird only gets then buy accident from Firefox as it shares the same core code that looks at those extensions in the registry. Thunderbird simply does not use them. Even when they appear in the extensions list.

What exactly do you want to remove?

I want to remove Best Buy App Detector but it only appears on the Plugins page, and there is no remove option.

OK. I got rid of it using the method at the first link, and I also got rid of some other junk that way (Norton, etc.). But the thing that I noticed is that "Plug-Ins" in both TB and FF DO NOT have a remove control - that only exists in the "Extensions" list. I have a bunch of unused extensions I would rather delete than have hanging around, but the only choice I have is the mode of activation (never, always, ask). Am I missing something?
