Hiya, I have accidentally downloads all my email from a Hotmail account without leaving a copy in the server. How I can upload them back again?

I have configured my Hotmail account with POP server to see my email through Thunderbird. While configuring the account I've accidentally un-ticked leave messages on server on the server setting option. The following days I've seen more than 2000 email disappearing from my webserver! How can I upload them back? Thanks a lot, Martin

Chosen solution

It is usual, but not absolutely necessary, for emails to be downloaded from server to TB mail account Inbox and then delete them off the server.

I personally, delete all but the last 30 days off the server, so that between my monthly backup and the emails on the server, I could retrieve most if not all mail in the event of a loss.

You could get the emails back on the server, but you may notice that all the dates seem to change to the date when you put them back on the server. See info here:
