Your newest version of Firefox is just a total mess!!!! It is so full of male ware and spyware that they take over the browser and redirect to all sorts of spam crap sites!!! I have been a Mozilla Firefox user forever and now must uninstall it for good thanks to this newest crap version!! This thing is a disaster! I know it is the newest version as I have uninstalled it and done complete cleanup of the system and tried to reinstall a clean version from the US site and it loaded the same crap onto my computer again!!!!! I am very disappointed in Mozilla for allowing this to happen!!! I have been a loyal user form the beginning of the net and now I have to leave because of the crappy security you guys have that has allowed these spammers, fraudsters to take over your search engine!! I cannot believe you have allowed this to happen! I suggest you clean it up and fix it before you lose all your customers!! This version is by NO means something to be proud of!!!

Sorry, Firefox doesn't come with Malware. Exactly which URL did you download Firefox from?

Hi James,

Apparently there are some issues with the version that you downloaded. From the description that you are giving us it looks like you may have downloaded a corrupted version. Just to make sure that you have the best experience, follow these 2 steps:

  1. Uninstall the Firefox version that you have. You can do it by following the steps in this article: Uninstall Firefox from your computer
  2. Install Firefox after downloading it from the official site: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
  3. Perform a Reset to make sure that you have a totally clean start. You can learn how in this article: Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

I think that these steps will solve your issues. If not, please let me know specific issues, like what link redirects to what page, etc.

Thanks, Ibai

I'm sorry but it does!

I downloaded it from the following site!

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Sorry to read that James,

Can you try Firefox Reset as described above? And if the problem persists, can you please describe what is the Malware about?

It's possible that you have an add-on installed in the past that for some reason has been re-activated with the update.

Thanks for your patience, Ibai

Thank you at least you are polite.

I have done all the steps you mentioned on the previous install but I'm afraid that the issues just continue. I really think that something has been snuck into your browser and needs to be cleaned up. I uninstalled and cleaned my entire system I then reinstalled in the hopes that might have helped but once the new install finished the same malware and redirects were present once again and had to be uninstalled and cleaned out again. As I said I have used your browser from the beginning and have always trusted and enjoyed it but this newest version has so many problems that I will not be able to use it until it is cleaned up and all the redirect and malware is removed. This is a serious problem for your browser and I truly hope it can be fixed because I prefer using Firefox over all the others for ease of use and the interface. As it is right now I cannot justify using a browser that has so many outside programs embedded in it that they take over the browser.

Hi James,

Please do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

You can also do a check for a rootkit infection with TDSSKiller.

I did try the reset and also turned off all the add-ons the reset allowed me to get rid of that awful Babylon search that get embedded. But the malware is from some site like ebrahime.net or something (do not have the exact address because I have uninstalled the browser) which constantly opens new windows and then there are all the commercial sites that continue to redirect your browsing etc. These only happen with this new version and did not with the past version with the exception of the Babylon search thing (which has been around for a while). These issues do NOT occur with any other browser but are specific to Firefox! They only appear on my computer after the download so they have somehow been embedded in the software by one of the developers or some other way of which I do not care what I do care about is seeing this browser usurped in this manner and destroyed.

@Moses

Thanks for the sites but I already have all of these and have used them in the past two days to clear the system. I just reinstalled Firefox this morning in the hopes that it was a problem with my system and not the browser but as I said when I did this it loaded all the same problems again. This is how I know there is a problem with the browser or the download site one or the other because after cleaning the system and reinstalling it the same problems were reloaded onto the system. I have been running the programs that you suggest to re-clean the system again! I hate to think I will have to use a different browser from now on but I cannot have this sort of thing going on.

No version of Firefox for any OS from Mozilla.org has ever been bundled with any form of malware.
