yahoo mail will not work
I am using a Mac 10.5.8 and Firefox 16 Everything was great til Yahoo changed something over the weekend and Now My Mail shows up but you can not open it to read. Spoke to Yahoo and they are saying it's a Firefox problem (Go figure) I personally think it is a Yahoo problem but am not getting anywhere with them so I am trying Firefox....
Chosen solution
Gina, this is because Yahoo doesn't support older versions of Firefox (and 16 is the highest that will run on your computer). You should update to mac 10.6 and then update to Firefox 28

You probably need to update your browser; even if this isn't the cause of the problem it could cause other issues. You can update Firefox using these instructions or use these instructions if your version doesn't have the check for updates feature described in the first article.
If that doesn't help, try follow this article on troubleshooting using safe mode.
I am Firefox 28 and it is the same thing.
If you still have trouble, try changing your interface to the basic version:
- When you are on the E-mail page there should be a cog icon in the top right.
- Click the cog and then click 'Settings' from the menu.
- Under 'Viewing email' you should see 'Mail version' and then two options.
- Select 'Basic' and click the save button.
You can switch back to the full featured version by clicking 'Switch to the newest Yahoo Mail' near the top right.
If you still have the problem, try (in full featured mode) changing turning the preview pane on/off and changing its position:
- Click 'View' from the bar that also has the 'Compose' button and try 'Right', 'Bottom' and 'None' in turn.
Or
- Go back to 'Settings' > 'Viewing email' like before and try each of the options for 'Preview pane' in turn.

I know that 16 is the highest I can go with this Version of Mac.... It is working seamlessly again without my having to update anything :)
