I am unable to launch Firefox using /quick Launch button, Start Menu or anything else, Get no Firefox window or error message. Tried uninstalling and then installing with still no sucess. Can't use the suggested fix of using a new profile because I don't get a Firefox window. Have a HP computer with Vista, 2Gigibites of RAM, Pentium processor.

Chosen solution

Like you I found I couldn't even launch FF28 and therefore couldn't try creating a new profile or starting with add ons disabled.

Took the advice of another poster and completely uninstalled FF28.

Then went to the beta site:

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/

Installed FF29 (currently 29.6) and had no further problems.

It still has all the extensions/add ons I was trying to run with FF28 but opens and runs without any hassle.

Can only assume FF28 had some problem for certain OSs that are not there in FF29.
