When I use the 'get mail' button I get the following error message. 'Sending of password did not succeed. Mail server pop.googlemail.com responded: POP access to your domain is only allowed from a limited set of IPs. Please contact your domain administrator for questions about this feature.' What does it mean?

Chosen solution

IP (Internet Protocol) address. The account you are trying to getmail/access has a restricted number of IP addresses that can access that account.

If it is a Google Apps account, a company account, its possible your administrator has disabled POP access or limited POP access to a set of IP addresses. So you need to contact the admin/help desk because they restricted what PC's are allowed to access that email account.
