Why don't my PDF documents render properly on Firefox?
I run a web site. Recently I upgraded to Adobe Acrobat 11. My Firefox version is the most recent also. Since my Adobe upgrade, Firefox won't render my PDF documents properly. There are loge text gaps (i.e. some sentences present, but many are missing) This is NOT a problem with Explorer, Chrome, Opera or Safari so I'm thinking it is a Firefox issue. Is a fix coming?

It may take some time for changes in pdf.js to move into a release of Firefox.
What preset are you using to create your PDFs? If you have time to experiment, you could see whether using one of the more backwards compatible presets/formats allows you to get the result you want with greater compatibility for the time being. https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/pdf-conversion-settings.html

You could try the pdf.js addon for firefox pdf.js addon
If this works, then the problem might have been caused by compatibility issues between firefox and the adobe pdf reader

While this might be a fix for me personally when I open PDFs on my site, I'm thinking of all the people who access my web site and have this problem. Essentially I want to eliminate the problem in as seamless a way as possible so that visitors to my site do not have to do anything "special." If the PDFs are renderable on other browsers why can't Firefox come out with a fix that will do the same?
Hmm, you have a valid point. have you tried opening the pdfs in a friend's PC using firefox, if yes, were there any render problems?
You can look at the latest development version of the PDF Viewer (pdfjs) extension to see if these issues are already fixed:
You will have to wait though until such bug fixes land on the PDF Viewer version that with a Firefox release.
Yes, the pdf.js.xpi extension displayed my pdf accurately. I take it from your comment that this viewer will be incorporated in the next firefox update release. I will simply inform people of this fix in the meantime and hope that the next update is not going to be too far in the distant future. Thanks very much.
