java Update blocked by Spybot
I am trying to update Java. I get to a Java update screen, click to download, and then am blocked by Spybot.

Please ignore the plugin check site for now. Oracle released Java 8, but isn't recommending it for general users (just developers) so the suggestion to update is premature. Hopefully the site will get rolled back. Meanwhile, Java should check for updates on a weekly basis or when you shut down and restart Windows.
That still doesn't explain why Spybot is objecting...

What site are you using? Is Spybot blocking the download from the official site: http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp
Hmm, wait a minute, your More System Details shows you have the current Java plugin for Firefox. Is a site telling you that you don't have it?
I get this from Firefox plugin check

I don't know why Spybot said something. I have been getting a screen from it when something doesn't show up...what I used to get for error 404 or whatever it is when something is not available or just doesn't get through.
Anyway, that's good enough for me! Thank you.
