Sometimes when starting Thunderbird client a separate tab opens up which I have to close out before using my email. The tab is labeled "Your opinion matters"

Is this adware? I've never clicked on the link for obvious reasons.

Mostly I can close out this message tab and continue, but occasionally it locks up my PC requiring me to use task manager to close Thunderbird.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to remove it?

Thanks

You can install the AdblockPlus add-on in Thunderbird and subscribe to a filter list of your choice.

Hi, here is the screen shot of the tab that opens when the email app starts. It's not every time I start Thunderbird, usually 30% of the time.

I should also add there is no email of this nature in my inbox, I cleared that out to make sure something wasn't "auto opening." I would not expect emails to open until the user selects them to open anyway. That's not the case since I haven't even been into the Thunderbird application yet when this comes up, requiring me to close it.

Thanks

Hi,

I've installed Adblock plus, I'm going to consider this issue resolved since I have some alternative resolutions you included to try in case the add-on doesn't do the trick.

Thanks Christ1 for your timely assistance.
