Firefox Win8 Touch was never work for me. (and I think this is the reason why It being dead now)

Last month, I have a chance to tried Windows 8.1 (dell inspiron duo) from my acquaintance, and I have installed firefox win8 touch to know what it looks like. But It never works! I have tried everything and it never works!

The only one thing i get is: I opened Firefox Touch from Firefox desktop, then modern loading screen open, then it close and back to firefox desktop... And Firefox Title only open Firefox Desktop. (I have set my firefox as default of course)

And I thought this maybe the reason why Firefox Touch being dead now...

Why? well... maybe that because there are no more than 1000 people can really run Firefox Touch! It's a giant bug and all of another tester just think mozilla all really known so they never report this. At least that's my thought...

I don't have a chance to use windows 8.1 in longterm now so I couldn't report that bug in detail... I hope this will help in some case though.

The "Touch" version of Firefox was only available as a nightly tester version, where Mozilla monitors daily update statistics. One install and never update users may not be counted in that "one-thousand users" stat. Which means they measured actual "testers" to come up with that number.

In the nightly tester versions, features may be added or fixed daily, which means that something that didn't work properly a month ago could have been fixed 3+ weeks ago or a more recently. One article that I read yesterday mentioned that "touch" was almost complete a week or so ago, and the person who said that had been working on that project; he was real disappointed that it was cancelled.
