How can I show my bookmarks on the left side of my screen while I am in gmail like i have on my win 7 system? my new system is win 8.1
On Win 7 my books always appear on left side of screen making it very convenient. On my Win 8.1 laptop I can't seem to make that happen. Thank you, Peter

Press Ctrl+B or go to View >> Painel >>Bookmarks
- You can toggle the Bookmarks sidebar on/off via "View > Sidebar > Bookmarks" or "Ctrl+B" (Command+B on Mac)
- You can toggle the History sidebar on/off via "View > Sidebar > History" or "Ctrl+H" (Command+H on Mac)
You can find toolbar buttons to open the bookmarks (star) and the history (clock) in the sidebar in the toolbar palette and drag them on a toolbar.
There are two bookmark buttons with a star in the Customize window.
One star button has a drop marker that open a Bookmark menu (you may not see the drop marker in the Customize window).
The other star button without the drop marker opens the bookmarks in the sidebar.
Thank you for your responses. However, I am running win 8.1 and firefox 27.0.1. There is no sidebar option under win 8.1. it is there on win 7 and 27.0.1. I am at a loss as to why the firefox 27.0.1 difference between the two win versions. Thanks, Peter
