cut and paste of text from a sent email into a new email. Text then dissapears when sent. Recipient gets a blank page.
I need to regularly send some text to a particular recipient with only the day and date being different on each occasion.
I noticed after updating to V24.1.1 that this was occurring as the text would disappear just as the email was being sent. After checking my "sent" folder I found that the email was a blank page. Conformation from the recipient showed they had received a blank email.
Another (annoying) thing that is now happening is when typing, the cursor will often jump to the top left hand corner of the page and continue replicating the words being typed.
This does not occur in any other app that requires typing, ie MS Word 2013, Wordpad or Notepad .
Any ideas as to why.

Hi Matt, my thanks for your solution. It does appear to solve the problem of my cursor jumping to the top left hand corner of the email page. I put my cursor to the test using various editing styles + cut n paste ect. and the cursor did not misbehave. I will re-introduce the text / signature add-ons 1 by 1 to see who is the culprit, as I think they are to blame.
I am yet to test the disappearing cut n' pasted email txts.

Give a shout when your done sorting out the add-ons and I will get you to sent me one of your magic emails and see if I can figure out what is what with them. If you click on my picture my email is not hard to find.
Start by enabling any addons one at a time, but contacts, compositions add-ons such as quote and compose and conversations etc next.
There are not a lot of "editing" things in Thunderbird so add-ons that enhance or interact with the composer are the first place to look.
