On Craigslist, I cannot get the thumbnail images to change

I open an entry on craigslist and it has multiple thumbnail images. When I click or pass the curser over the miniimages, nothing changes. Before all I had to do to change images was move the cursor over them. Is Firefox blocking this? I use Avast free antivirus. OS is Win XP Pro. on Dell desktop.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Having same/similar problem with CL.

Page loads with image placeholders, but no images. When I click to display a different layout, such as "list" (that has no images), nothing happens. It just stays on the "empty placeholders" page.

Cleared cache and cookies as recommended. This made a difference, but did not solve problem.

That caused it to return to the default "list" display of entries. But when I click to display a different layout, nothing happens, like before. Only, now it is stuck on list display.

Any additional suggestions?
