I have encoding problems for korean websites
I'm at a loss with this problem. I've tried solutions to similar problems that I found on google and on here, but none work. Tried changing encodings from Unicode to the korean ones and western, none of them make the webpage appear as it should. Here is a screenshot of what I see:

I also installed fontinfo which shows me nine different fonts used, not sure how to update the font in case they got corrupted. I tried switching options for websites choosing their own font, no difference. The problem appears in firefox, google chrome and internet explorer. Tried restarting firefox in safe mode, no difference. Tried reinstalling firefox, no difference. Tried reinstalling a font, no difference. Please help me out. thank you.
Chosen solution
Looks fine here with Unicode (UTF-8) selected.
The site specifies for the body: font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
You can try to reinstall the Arial font in case it is corrupted.
You can try different default fonts and temporarily disable website fonts to test the selected default font.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
- [ ] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

Have you installed Korean characters onto your Windows?
Does the problem appear on all Korean websites or only some of them? If only to some, please provide a link to one.

Modified
I don't know why, but when I was about to write another website that didn't work and wanted to take a screenshot for you (naver.com), it showed a weird page of code and a software name called sonari. Turns out that something was installed which I deinstalled in the control panel, and now everything shows up fine. I'm blaming the wife for installing it, but she denies having installed anything lol. anyways, I appreciate you guys trying to help. what a wasted couple of hours of trying to figure it out only to find out it was something so simple. anyway thanks again.
