Note that if you use MS plugins like the Windows Media Player and Silverlight that these plugins store their data in the IE cache and cookie storage location.

Depending on the files they could be due to various Plugins you were running in Firefox.

Also you should not use CCleaner to clean up anything Firefox releated as it can potentially cause problems and Firefox can clean up its own files just fine.

Really??? Not good to run CCleaner with Firefox?? Why not? How does FFox clean up it's own files and when?

And what potential problems can CCleaner cause on FireFox?

I am saying Firefox can clear its own cookies, cache, browsing and download history and such in Tools->Options->Privacy and History->Clear recent history box (Ctrl+Shift+Del).

It has been posted here and on the independent mozillazine forums of users who had issues with some things in Firefox after using CCleaner to clean Firefox related things.
