Do you still see the Adobe Flash Player plugin on the Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Plugins page?

Do you still have the Flash plugin files?

You can check the Flash player installation folder.

  • (32 bit Windows) C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\
  • (64 bit Windows) C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\

What are you trying to do that ends up with the error message? Are you downloading and running the latest installer from:

http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Adobe has a different download you can try, it's a huge initial download that doesn't need to connect back to the internet in order to run:

http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html#fp11.9

I would try the second one, the one with "Plugin" in the name.
