I can log-in from other locations, and from this location using another device, so its a PC prob?. Tried all the optimisers, anti-virus, malware. disable add-ons etc. Used to be OK.

Chosen solution

There is a possibility that the problem isn't in your browser. To understand where the problem is please also try opening the site from the same pc using a different browser. If you see that in other browsers also you are having problems please contact your ISP(Internet Service Provider) and tell them about the problem. The site loads just fine in my Firefox 26.0 in India. Check the screenshot.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

What kind of content is missing?

Does any content load on that page?

Can you attach a screenshot if that is the case?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.

Are there any icons on the location bar that Firefox is blocking content?

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make a note of those passwords and bookmarks.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer some files from an existing profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over the problem.

https://support.cdn.mozilla.net/media/uploads/images/2014-01-29-04-00-35-6ff958.png Hi Cor-el Private browsing so no history to view/forget. Loading the page IS possible by reloading before timeout, if lucky! but logging-in and searching almost impossible. Away for few days but will manage profiles on return, please bear with me on this. Thanks again. DD

You know something Manojit_Ghosh, you may well be right! When I first hit this problem in november (!) I did try other browsers on this PC and they did exactly the same! My fault for revisiting a problem with a fixation that it was Firefox. I will discuss with ISP at next oppertunity and report back - thanks guys.

Hi dirtydonkey,

Thanks for letting us know that. Since the same problem also affects other browsers, I'm going to mark this question "solved" based on the answer from Manojit_Ghosh, for the purposes of Firefox Support.
