Firefox is stuttering
Hi,
My firefox has suddenly started stuttering for some reason. I havent installed or uninstalled any add-ons or software to my computer. I did a full restart of my computer and used the browser in safe mode but it didnt help. In the resource monitor, my CPU usage keeps spiking up and down but I cant seem to find out why. Could you please help me diagnose the problem? I have attached the info below during safe mode.
Thanks!

Fixed it! Apparently, it wasnt firefox but dropbox that was somehow messing things up. Simply reinstalled it and now its fine.

Hello isaac12345_54321, in your system details it seems that you have in your profile folder a User.js file. The user.js file does not exist by default. If you create the file, forget it, if you have not create the file then try to delete the User.js file, to see if the problem goes away (some programs create the file also).
thank you
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox (you need to close and restart Firefox).
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If it works correctly in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)
Tried deleting the user.js file that but it didnt work. It seems to have become worse today with the stuttering pause longer than before. Also I noticed my cpu usage keeps jumping from around 40 to 85% and back when its happening. will run a boot time anti virus scan to see if there is a virus. Any other suggestions in the meantime?
