How do i make mozilla stop randomly freezing?

I am using mozilla firefox version 25.0.1 and it will repeativly freeze without warning. Below is a list of my system specs: OPERATING SYSTEM: 64 bit, Windows 8.1 R.A.M: 4gb PROCESSOR: Intel Core i5
