how can I get the old file and bookmark back on the top left cnr.?

I had to download FF as I had to do a reinstall for win 7. Now my old bar that had "file, to bookmarks" Is gone and I want it back! Also I had some icons below my Google start window, gone now, in fact I cannot find Google or Yahoo in the upper right corner. Also I DO NOT want all the add-ons. Every time you guys upgrade it gets worse. Can you not have a download site just for old buggers like me??
