every so often a separate window opens up and ask me to update firefox but the url looks strange. Is this legit or a virus trying to run on my PC. Here is the url that comes up,

This is a virus. Our latest version is 24.0
Please do not update using that site. Update Firefox by going to getfirefox.com

You may also want to scan for malware.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
