Since upgrading to Firefox 22 and 24, the font size has been extremely huge. The only way to make it smaller is ctrl - , but when I go to other sites the fonts are normal size.

I want to be able to get the default size font on the Firefox 24. I've been using Chrome because this has been so darned annoying, it's even causing Bing to screw up.

Can someone help me get this fixed?

hello tielfeathers, please make sure that you have set windows to display at 100% in the windows control panel > appearance > display. more information about that is available at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller

Current Firefox releases have support for high resolution (HiDPI) displays.

You can set the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the about:config page to 1.0 (current default value is -1.0) to restore the behavior of previous Firefox versions.

If necessary, adjust layout.css.devPixelsPerPx starting with 1.0 in 0.1 or 0.05 steps (1.0 or 0.9) to make icons show correctly. Use an extension to adjust the text size in the user interface and the page zoom in the browser window.

Use this extension to adjust the font size for the user interface.

You can look at the Default FullZoom Level or NoScript extension if web pages need to be adjusted after changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx.

Solution didn't work - I have Firefox 25 Beta and can't get the font size back to the original default, like in the early Firefox versions. They keep messing with the updates and everything else gets screwed up.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

This isn't the best way for it. Coz my monitor isn't really big.(21.5') It is very match for me by using 125%. But for FF22(or above) is too big, and the photo will zoom in for 125% that was a mess. And Chrome has the function but it isn't default but adjust from "chrome://flags"
