My Firefox desktop icon has disappeared. How do I get it back?

The icon just vanished one day for no reason I know about.

You can create a new Firefox desktop shortcut via a right-click on the Mozilla Firefox item in "Start menu > Programs > Mozilla Firefox".

Right-click the Mozilla Firefox item and choose: Send To > Desktop (create shortcut).
If the Mozilla Firefox entry in the Start menu is missing then use Windows Explorer to create a new folder structure and place a shortcut to the Firefox.exe program file in the Startup folder.

  • C:\Users\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Mozilla Firefox
  • (64 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\"
  • (32 bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
