cannot copy and paste in Firefox, text or graphics
recently updated to ver 22, , and started noticing that I can no longer copy and paste from sites I visit since the update. I can copy and paste from Chrome, IE, and other software within my PC. This appears to be only a problem with Firefox. Have used all of your suggestions for troubleshooting and none of these work for me. I am using Windows XP Pro, with an AMD dual processor, 4gB memory and plenty of available disc space. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Do not know if the update had any thing to do with the problem. Thanks

hello, other users have reported such issues with firefox 22 when they had the zonealarm firewall installed. do you have it present on your system by any chance too?

Tried suspending zonealarm and then copy and paste in firefox and that does not work either. sorry. looking for any other help. thanks
yes, at the moment there is no other known solution than to uninstall zonealarm...
Colleagues, this problem appeared on my Firefox too.
It's so strange and unprofessional. I've been loyal user of Firefox for 5 years. But suddenly after new upgrade I cannot use it anymore, because it cannot copy/paste information!

Please fix it. So far I have to move to other browser.
I am using the latest updates of Windows 7 and Windows 8 on three separate computers, each with the latest update to Firefox and with the latest update to ZoneAlarm. Just as everyone else here, I can no longer copy and paste when browsing the Internet using Firefox. IE 10 does not suffer from this issue. I have deleted ZoneAlarm from both browsers, but the problem continues in Firefox 22.0.
Am growing more and more frustrated.
I also have this problem on two Windows 8 machines. I don't have the problem on my Windows 7 machine, but it only has Zonealarm firewall where the other two have Zonealarm firewall and antivirus. All are running FF22. Got to be a problem with the antivirus part. I do have a workaround for text copying. Get the Firefox addon 'Copy as plain text' and that works until either Firefox or Zonealarm has a fix.
I can second this 'fix'. The copy as plain text add-on is a life saver form me too. I use FF for preference for the work that I do and not being able to copy and paste has been awful.
hi everything is fine until i install Ghostery add ons , I think because of ghost compatible with firefox 22
This problem has been fixed in Firefox 23 now, so no need to remove Zonealarm etc. in the new version.

I have updated to Firefox 23 beta and the problem has been solved. I believe that you need to search for the Firefox beta. Just going for updates will not take you to anything but Firefox 22. That us unless the Beta has become full release - the Help > About is not helpful here.
Removing ZoneSlarm did not help at all.
