Norton advised I remove container.exe, I did, now everything I do on Firefox causes a crash, so do I reinstall or what, and if so, how?
My Norton security opened a window and told me it recommended quarantining or deleting something called "container.exe" as it was so new very few people had used it, or something like that. I accepted their advise. Immediately I started having problems with Firefox crashing almost every time I went to a new website. I tried restarting but that was ineffective. Any suggestions? I am doing this on google chrome since my Firefox is basically unworkable right now.

The container is used by Firefox to contain plugins being used by Firefox.
If you can launch Firefox, you might want to try and do a soft reset of Firefox: http://mzl.la/MnSTZB
If that doesn't work, you should be able to download Firefox again, install it and use it without losing any important data.
Before you do anything, like install Firefox again, you should make a backup copy of your Firefox profile: http://mzl.la/LHJo6V

hello, the plugin-container.exe is an integral part of the firefox program - you'll have to find a way to revert the change you've made in norton and make sure that no component of the browser is blocked.
in case norton deleted the file completely, try downloading and reinstalling firefox again from getfirefox.com .
