Installed firefox on a new computer to find that all of the jumplist shortcuts were missing except "Mozilla Firefox", "Unpin", and "Close". New tab, new window, recent, and pinned tabs options are all missing. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, as well as changing the browser.taskbar.lists.tasks.enabled in about:config from true to false and back again, but nothing seems to work.

Chosen solution

Firefox 22 beta 4 reportedly has the fix. I haven't tried it myself.

If you want to try it urgently, you can install the beta version from here: http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/beta/

Otherwise, it will be officially released in a few weeks.

The first image shows my current jumplist. On my old computer, it had options for new tab, new window, etc. The second shows my settings, which I believe are set correctly.

Try unpinning Firefox from the task bar then pinning it back.

Tried that before the reinstall, but it didn't work either.

This is a bug in Firefox 21, hopefully we will fix in 22 or 23.

Hello,

Sometimes toolbars are missing because they are hidden, you just need to bring them back up. Visit this article to learn how to bring them back: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars. You can learn tips and tricks at the same time.

Hi KarenManzano, you might not be familiar with the jump list feature of the Windows 7 Task Bar. This is not a Firefox toolbar.

I tried the beta version and am still having the same issue. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it has not helped either. I hope FF solves this issue soon.
