Why does my Firefox freeze when I go to facebook? It freezes just before it loads the chatbox.
I tried to disable javascript and it facebook worked. The problem is no button was clickable, I can't post anything, in short, I can't do anything. I have to force close firefox whenever this happens. According to my firefox, I have the latest version. I also tried uninstalling and installing it again, I tried disabling the plugins or run it in safemode but nothing seems to solve it. This problem just happened after I deleted some compressed old files from my C drive.

Go to Add-ons > Plugins, then (DISABLE) Facebook Desktop x.x.x.x , it`s work for me.

Please update to Firefox 19, Update Firefox to the latest release then reset firefox Update Firefox to the latest release
You can check for issues caused by plugins (plugins are not affected by Safe mode).
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
Yes, i've updated it last night and still the same. I've also done the disable plugins thing and still the same..
I have the same problem. As soon as facebook loads firefox freezes completely, which It can't be closed normally, just by ending the process in task manager. I've tried disabling plugins, extensions and themes! but It didn't help.
p.s: I think this problem started when I downloaded the latest version of "Java Runtime Environment"
