Upon opening firefox on my macbook pro, all of the possible screens/buttons become skewed and illegible.

The screen is shifted and slanted. Some screens normalize when other apps are used, but when I return and hover the mouse over any clickable surface of the screen, it becomes problematic again. I

Try to update your Mac OS X version to 10.6.8 as that may fix this issue.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox as a workaround.
