ALL IE9 bookmarks do not get filtered into Firefox 17.0.1 when imported from IE

I have countless amounts of Fav's and subfolders container within. When I go through the process of importing fom IE most of the folders contents are empty.

Try exporting from IE in bookmarks.html format from IE and then import that file into Firefox. That usually works better when multiple layers of sub-folders are present in IE favorites.

In IE:
File > Import/Export - Export to HTML file

then in Firefox:
Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks -> Import & Backup - Import HTML... = From HTML file
