I've uninstalled and reinstalled Norton 360 and ran LiveUpdate twice. Norton Toolbar still does not work.

From: http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Toolbar-Norton-Identity/Firefox-17-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/853416 We recommend that you have the latest version of Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 installed. If you are not seeing the Norton Toolbar in Firefox 17, check and make sure you're running NIS or N360 20.2.0.19. Please visit our Norton Update Center to receive the latest update.

You may need to run LiveUpdate and reboot a few times before your product is completely updated to the latest version. It will appear in the LiveUpdate history as Norton Toolbar Add-on for Firefox.

If you are running Firefox 17 and Norton Internet Security or Norton 360 20.2.0.19, and still do not see the Norton Toolbar, please check and ensure the Norton Toolbar plugin is enabled. You can do this by clicking on the Firefox menu, selecting Add-ons, and then clicking Enable next to Norton Toolbar.

Thanks very much. After performing a few more LiveUpdates, I finally got the current version and was able to Enable the Toolbar.

Done this at least a dozen times and it still does not work.

I was worried because I love the Norton toolbar. I ran LiveUpdate a few times in succession and it worked as stated before. (Asus EEE, WinXP SP3)

I've run Norton live update 15 times, am told that I have the most recent updates and that no more were found. The Firefox add-ons still show that the Norton 360 toolbar is not compatible. Where do I go from there please?

I still have not been able to get the Norton Toolbar to work after many attempts either. My norton is supplied by Comcast. Is this part of the problem ? Please help!

Hi I wouldn,t think that Comcast is the problem. So many people seem to have the same problem and it must be down to Firefox. It seems that every time they issue an update, Norton disappears. You'd think they'd finally get their act together. I'm seriously considering abandoning Firefox completely.

I tried the suggestions here...Nothing. Still no Norton Toolbar. Then eureka! I went to my Norton page and instead of running the live update for the millionth time, I found a link to update my version of Norton Internet Security. After a quick download and running live update with the new version I finally have my toolbar back.

Like Peacenenola,I have tried countless live updates without any success (until now). I have the latest version of Norton 360 (20.2.0.19) and the latest Norton Toolbar (2013.2.0.18). Following Peacenenola's advice, I went to the Norton Webpage and logged onto their helpline. From this, I was able to uninstall and reinstall Norton 360. This facility saved all my settings and passwords and reinstalled them. Also "eureka", the toolbar and identity safe have now reappeared. Thanks, peacenenola.

I have same problem, also. I have many pwds and rely on norton to supply them. I've had to use IE to access my financial sites and other sites requiring login information.

Hi Zane I would strongly recommend that you follow the action that I found. Go to Norton's website and log on to their helpline. There is a program there "NRnR.exe" which uninstalls and reinstalls Norton 360 without losing any of your saved information (passwords etc). After you've run this program, you should find that the Norton toolbar and identity safe appear in Firefox (identity safe appears as Vault and Login Assistant in the latest Norton version) - it worked perfectly for me.

NRnR.exe would not load, "Could not gather details...". Ran the Norton Removal Tool. Reinstalled. Ran Live Update numerous times. Updated to Firefox 18. Ran Live Update again and again and again... Add-on Manager still shows incompatibility.  ???

My desktop and laptop are running Windows 8 Pro, 64 bit, Firefox 18, and the same Norton 360 Premier. According to Supposed solution , the toolbar for Norton 360 should be Norton Toolbar: 2013.2.2.3. My desktop that has the "incompatible toolbar" shows Norton Toolbar 2013.2.0.18. My laptop, which is working fine, shows 2013.2.3.1. It would appear that my laptop is running a newer version than the one in the article. And, it looks like my desktop toolbar is stuck on an old version and does not register the newer versions from Live Update even though my Live Update history shows that the patch was successfully applied on 3 Jan. How can I get rid of the old toolbar?

2013.2.3.1 is a update that includes support for Firefox 18.0

It is said one should run the update in Norton before updating Firefox.
