Norton 360 Login Assistant does not work with Firefox 17
I have just upgraded to Firefox 17 and found that Norton 360 "Login Assistant" (formally named Identity Safe) no longer works. It does not fill in the username and password fields. It worked very well and did all the right things when I was using Firefox 16. There is probably a quick fix but in the meantime I have had to revert to version 16. Looking forward to the problem being resolved.

It seems every time you update FireFox, you and Norton have to do another little Samba for a week. One would think you would do the dance before you force us to update. Or (GASP) give us the option to delay your update!
I switched to FireFox from IE to reduce my problems. I am starting to think it wasn't a smart move.......
Why would Mozilla delay a Firefox update when Norton pretty much as a software update to support the new Firefox on same day (occasionally within a couple days delay) of every major update of Firefox ever since 4.0. For example Firefox 17.0 was released on Tuesday and Norton already had the update available earlier in day.
It is many other AV clients however is where you may have to do the waiting dance if their AV ever provides a update.
I have had enough with the problems with firefox. next day now login assistant does not work.well finally after three days norton came out with the patch, thks

Upgraded to Firefox 17 and my Norton toolbar is not showing up. I'm running Norton NIS 20.2.0.19 and to my knowledge have the latest patches installed. Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Thanks curiousgeo24,
I tried your suggestion, unfortunately, it still does not work. However I'm using NIS 2012 at the latest level with patches... according to Norton.
Oh well, maybe I just need to wait until I get to 2013, but I still have 2 months left on my subscription.
If Firefox 17 does works with NIS 2012 and someone knows the secret I would appreciate any additional help.
Aspden, you can get 2013 on norton as long as you have a paid script,no need to wait.I have 2013 and only 37 days left.Just go to your norton account, log in and check for latest version.I hope it works for you.(i upgrade to 2013 in november)
Thanks, again.
I will do what you suggest.
Update: I tried what Curiousgeo24 suggested. Unfortunately it did not resolve my issue.
However I have finally stumbled onto the resolution. It may seem stupid, but I found that in Firefox tools under "add-on" the add-0n manager had Norton Tool bar disabled. When I enabled it and restarted Firefox it was there and working.
Thanks for all your help..... especially Couriousgeo24.
Aspden, that's great just remember no one is stupid, everyone knows something . (stupid should be removed from the english language)
