Can't save preferences.
So,all started after i reset firefox to solve a problem. After resetting firefox i tried to fix my settings (homepage, tabs on top, etc). After closing browser, and re-opening it everything was like i didn't change.I checked my firefox folder and saw user.js and prefs.js missing and it was not being generated if i opened firefox.I tried to put my old prefs.js but it didnt work. Then,i uninstalled and re-installed firefox and same thing repeated.I am really confused, can anyone help me?

Which problems did you have in your previous profile that you decided to reset Firefox?
Note that Windows may be hiding the .js file extension, so you may only see a prefs file.
You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.
The problem was irrelevant.I had that coupondropdown popping everywhere but with resetting firefox it was fixed as it was one extension causing it.
Anyways, the problem is that there is no user.js or pref.js in my ff folder. It is not hidden or something.I have already read those articles before submitting this question and they don't really help my situation.
Are you looking in the correct location?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
"Reset" creates a new default profile with a time stamp appended to identify it and tries to recover settings like bookmarks and history and passwords and cookies and auto-fill data from the old profile that will be moved to the desktop, but you lose data like extensions and other customizations.
thank you,i was looking on other ff folder that look the same. Now i can fix it.Thank you for your time.
You're welcome
