Windows XP, Firefox 3.6.27 Haven’t updated Firefox because some updates disable Kaspersky Internet Security so can I update now without killing Kaspersky?
Opened up Firefox to find all tabs from previous session gone. Not acceptable. Serious bad news. Bookmarks won't sort and stay sorted. Considered updating Firefox BUT

You could update to 3.6.28, which is the last version of 3.6. Don't know anything about Kaspersky.
Any messages from Firefox about disabling KISS should only refer to extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that KISS has installed in Firefox and not Kaspersky itself and firewall and anti-virus components should continue to work.
Kaspersky may have different versions of its extensions for Firefox 3.6 and Firefox 4+ versions like the current Firefox 16.0.2 version, so there is no need to postpone updating Firefox if your computer meets the Firefox requirements.
I'm not 100% sure whether the Kaspersky browser add-ons will work in Firefox 16.0.2. The "patch K" release notes say "Anti-Banner, Virtual Keyboard and Kaspersky URL Advisor display problems in Mozilla Firefox 16 has been eliminated." (source: http://support.kaspersky.com/us/faq/?qid=208287185)
Update to Firefox 16.0.2, then update your Kapersky, it should be working perfectly fine now. Please note that the Firefox Kapersky extension is not what provides you with security. Even with that disabled Kapersky is still running in the background and protecting your computer.
