it worked properly in firefox before the last update, no settings were changed and the website is properly displayed in all other browsers i tested

Bold works for me as well. I'd suggest resetting Firefox. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings
Can you attach a screenshot?

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot.
Do you have any other font issues?
Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
