I would like to be able to view (in Firefox) dvd files (including 3 VOBs, 2 IFOs and 2 BUPs) uploaded to a web site folder.

Have uploaded three inter-dependent VOB, 2 IFO and 2 BUP files from a DVD presentation that I would like to view using Firefox. I have tried converting these into several different formats but the converted files do not run. They self-refer, I believe. Is there a way to use Firefox to browse to that folder on the web site and have the folders automatically start playing in the browser? Thank you

Had to convert it to a .MKV using a free converter called MiniCoder (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/MiniCoder), then I had to get the code generated to make it play in the web page (DivX at http://labs.divx.com/WebPlayerCodeGenerator) - then the browser asks if I might allow it to go get the DivX plug-in to view - so far GoogleChrome allows it to play immediately, IE to play after approving that it has the plug-in, but Firefox is still being obstinate. Will reboot, but first I need to go to sleep now.

put folder on website... somehow. then use it. if it does not work use flash or realplayer.

Firefox wouldn't be able to play VOB as such. More likely it would want to download the entire file rather than streaming it. You might want to consider converting the video to an HTML5 format such as OGG Theora (unless you already have a Flash encoder). It's hard to find good information in a web search: most of it seems promotional. Hopefully you can find some recommendations you trust.
