Is Mozilla aware of the problem with Protected Mode in Flash?

Posted

Today I started having problems viewing embedded Flash content in Firefox 12. I tried all the usual steps (e.g. clearing cache, disabling extensions, updating the plugin and then finally updating to Firefox 13) but nothing worked.

Then I found an Adobe forum in which certain contributors had experienced the same thing in the last few days, and it seems to have been a problem with Protected Mode in the latest Flash player. I disabled that mode and everything now works perfectly again - so I thought I would bring it to your attention in case other users have the same problem.

Thanks, cor-el. Let's hope that there's a fix before long, or else there doesn't seem to be much point in Adobe implementing protected mode in the first place!

I don't think so no, many people are having the same problem, Mozilla don't even seem to care either, with each update the browser gets worse, shame really, it used to be the best.
