I'm assuming you are meaning the Kapersky toolbar? It is most likely that they haven't updated their toolbar, and so it is disabled in firefox until it becomes compatible. However, that doesn't affect your security. Kapersky anti-virus will still run on your computer, the toolbar is basically for anti-phishing (with firefox has by default) so it isn't really needed. and reverting to Firefox 11 will compromise your computer's security as Firefox 12 fixes several security holes in 11. https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html
you can contact Kapersky to ask when they will update their toolbar, but your anti-virus is running just fine :)

To be clear it is the Kaspersky extension versions you have that is not compatible with Firefox 12.0, not the other way.
A thread to watch perhaps. http://forum.kaspersky.com/index.php?showtopic=234391

Firefox has its own build-in phishing protection, so there is usually no need for third-party software (extensions) to add such features.
I'd rather trust a good solid third party protection before I rely on any Firefox or Windows Internet Explorer. But thanks anyway
Thanks
Thanks I am fully aware of the fact. I use the virtual keyboard for certain tasks such as online banking and to log into my legal sites. Until the problem is solved by Kaspersky or/and Firefox I have no choice but to use the Windows Internet Explorer for certain tasks.
Hey, I agree with those of you who are having problems with the Kaspersky Extension/Addon. I have had an ongoing problem with the newer Firefox versions after 3.6 and my Trend Micro Titanium 2011 & 2012 NSC Firefox Extension. All the Firefox versions after 3.6 including FF 12 says its incompatible & disabled my TM NSC Ext. TM support said that they can't keep up with Mozilla/Firefox's new versions, so there's no update. I'm hoppin' mad.
Hi 2cranky, a support rep posted this on the Trend Micro forums in the Fall about Fx8: "What's gonna happen if you keep firefox 8.0 is that you wont see if a link is dangerous but that doesnt necessarily mean that the program would not protect you anymore. If you click on a dangerous link, the program would still block the link even if the Trend Micro toolbar is not functioning." Trend Micro vs Firefox... The Battle Continues - Trend Community
