Firefox keeps rejecting websites (EVEN GOOGLE & FACEBOOK) with HTTPS, saying the certificate is rejected.

There's not much information to provide. Basically, it rejects ALL certificates, since I reinstalled my computer & firefox.

I've tried to reinstall firefox again, but without an acceptable solution.

I cannot find a solution to this

Chosen solution

Problem solved: Never use NOD32.

I have now uninstalled NOD32, and haven't seen the problem since. I'll blame ESET / NOD32 for the problem.

Have you checked your computer's date and time?

But no, Time/date wasn't the problem, then everything else would've complained ;)

Often times, having an incorrect date and time will cause a certificate mismatch, causing this problem. Glad you figured it out!

Yeah, but not this time (:

You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.

  • Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"

Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

  • Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.

You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.

I know, but I don't wanna do that for the billion sites I visit... Anyhow, problem solved, and I'll then find another anti-virus software.
