If I didn't save a password the first time I used it can FF still remember it?
I have accidentally saved the wrong password before. When I do that I always get the invalid password error. When I correct it I don't always get the option to change it. Also when I don't save it the first time I enter it it seems I never get the option again.
any help would be appreciated

You are welcome :) Firefox uses the Windows accounts feature to isolate personal settings from other normal accounts. Only another administrator account user or a user who uses this Windows account would be able to see those. That can also be prevented by enabling Use a master password and setting a master password. Hi,
You can Remove the wrong entries via Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Security > Saved Passwords. The Exceptions button on the same tab has the sites for which Firefox will never remember passwords.

Thanks that was very helpful. But I have to admit Its pretty scary seeing all those passwords with a couple clicks of the mouse.
