You can find the latest Firefox release in all languages and for all Operating Systems here:
- Firefox 10.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
(Firefox 10.0.1 will probably be released tomorrow (Friday), so you can consider to wait for that version)

I have this same problem on a new computer with windows 7. I installed the Firefox browser and tried downloading different programs including Java. Firefox is having problems downloading binary files. The download fails and the system stops responding. The only way to use Firefox again is by restarting my computer in safe mode then going to the downloads file and deleting the failed download. I can download the same files using Internet Explorer. So just wondering what might be causing this issue with the Firefox browser.
The moment I click on the download free button on the Fire Fox page nothing happens but a pop-up with a bunch of gobbledygoop information that I don't understand. Part of it says "this program cannot be run in DOS mode" and all the rest is a combination of letters and icons that I don't understand.
