Firefox freezes when you type accented Spanish in Google Docs

If you try to type accented Spanish characters into Google Docs, the current Firefox window display will freeze and will not change - although you can still close it. Other windows are not affected.

I didn't do anything to it, but it works now. I was typing the characters using a spanish layout keyboard by typing apostrophe + the letter.

How are you typing the characters?

Does it also happen if you use the compose key (compose ~ and n: ñ) or paste such a character?
