foxfire goes through the motion of downloading but doesn't, how can I get it to download

I have tried downloading Firefox and it goes through all the montions of downloading b ut once the computer starts up again it is no where to be found. It does not download, have checked my control panel and programs and it isn't there.Right now I am using Internet Explorer.
