HELP! What is going on with Firefox? I have 9.01 on my computers. Suddenly, Firefox is taking forever to load a new page.

I am sending this through Explorer, because my Firefox is still cycling. I am so fed up. I have looked online and done some of the suggested things, i.e. removed and reinstalled Firefox, updated all my add-ons. I am confident the problem is NOT with my hook up, because Explorer, Safari, etc work exceptionally well. What do I do? I can't work with Firefox right now because it takes a minimum of a minute to load a page, but usually times out first. This happens whether iot's a search through Google or from a stated web address.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.

Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
