Running Firefox for MAC 3.6.2 on Mac OS 10.6.8.

The bookmarks sidebar has disappeared! When I pull down the VIEW menu to highlight SIDEBAR, there's a check mark next to Bookmarks, but the sidebar is still hidden. Unchecking it makes no difference. Hitting "Apple-B" has no effect either. The pull-down menu for "Bookmarks" still works, is complete, and isn't corrupted (as far as I can tell).

Thanks in advance for any suggestions...
