Firefox 8.0.1 says my Java platform is not compatible. What can I do?

I just installed Firefox 8.0.1 and enabled my add ons. The add on for Java says it is not compatible. Can I download another version of Java? Some of my pop up windows are not working properly. I do not have my Pop Up Blocker enabled.

You mean Java Console is not compatible.
