Bookmarks htnl files
I have 50 "bookmarks-n.html" files in my profile folder. What are these? They take 800MB, how were they created? Can I delete them? How do I create them?
Thanks

Type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter.
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = browser.bookmarks.autoExportHTML
By default that pref is false, if the value is true it is userset or was set that way by an add-on.

What is the date on those files? Firefox hasn't used bookmarks.html since the Firefox 2 versions for bookmarks storage, so unless you changed a hidden pref those files are probably like 3 years old.
You should be able to right-click each of those files and select delete, and empty the Recycle Bin.
The date goes back to July 2011 The latest bookmarks html file(bookmarks-49.html) was modified 3 days ago. It is not old so I guess there is a problem. How do I check if I have bookmarks html exporting enabled?
Please be of help

Wow thank you so much it really was set to true!!
Thank you now disable it and delete it.
It won't delete bookmarks, or will?
Nope, changing that pref won't delete your bookmarks, as they aren't stored in that file.
