why doesn't my remove current history light up on my tools bar?

When I go to my tools bar and scroll down to remove current history everything lights up except the last 2 programs why? So I can't delete my recent history.

In the tools menu, is the other dimmed item called Stop Private Browsing ?

If it is, then your recent history isn't being saved - your history will be cleared automatically when you exit Firefox. You can change this setting in Options -> Privacy .

You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Edit > Preferences > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Edit > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
