Proxy Issues

This has been going on for a month. Evrytime I open up FireFox or Internet Exploer it says the same thing.

Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

  • Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
  • Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is
        working."

So I go into Advance Network settings and change the proxy to "No Proxy" or "Automatic URL configuration". But it does not stay permanent. Every time I close out of Firefox it resets the proxy so the next time i get on I have to redo it, like if it never remembers the change. Because of this issue nothing can update and I can not play any of my games. I have thought to go to the computer store to get it fixed, but if its due to the last update before I more or less have to pay for some one else mistake . So if anyone can tell me how to fix this I will be greatly appreciated.

Check the connection settings.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection > Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

See "Firefox connection settings":
