Readers Digest. They have tried to find a solution, but could not. Can you tell me anything about this? Thank you.

This issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Hi cor-el. Thanks for the help. I cleared the cache and cookies, that was not the problem. The changes to the cookies may take me a while, since I will have to study it. It's not as easy as it looks! I will get back to you.

Clearing the cookies did not work for me. So... my solution was the hard way. Removed Firefox (including all personal settings) and did a fresh install. Now it is working fine again.
